Maytag Neptune washer dryer - circuit board replaced when one year old - then broke down again another year later

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on December 22, 2002:

We have a Maytag Neptune washer dryer all in one unit. When it was one year old the main circuit board had to be replaced. The $ 237.00 bill was under warranty.

One year later the washer has died again. This time the I will have to pay the bill out of my pocket if I decide to get it fixed. After reading about other peoples continuing problems with their Neptune washers I am reluctant to put any money in this high dollar unit.

I don't think a company should advertise their repairmen have nothing to do because Maytag's never break down when break downs seem to be a yearly event.
