RE: MCI Worldcom Wireless - overbilling
I have an account with MCI Worldcom Wireless since June of 2001. I was over billed the first month by $ 36.00 . I called (800) 254-899 their customer service number and was put on hold for 1 hour. I got frustrated so I called the number where I got the phone (800) 449-2269 they could not help me. ( While talking to them I told them I had purchased the plan with Basic Voice Mail they looked at contract and agreed. They tried to get it to operate but they could not. 6 months later after trying to reach a customer service rep on various occasions and not getting through because of high volume calling I still do not have that turned on.)
They never adjusted that first mistake. I tried to call at other times only to be put into a queue for long period and getting no one, so I would hang up to try later. I got my statement last month ( 2001) and I mailed in my check for my normal amount only to have them send me a notice telling me I better pay or I would be delinquent. I again tried to call got no where with that ( except to be put into a queue for another long period. I got very frustrated and like the first time I mailed them another check so as not to be sent to collections. I said to myself I will attempt to call them later . They once again had over billed me. My bank statement shows they cashed my checks.
This month I get my statement and they are trying to tell me I owe them 3 times what I normally pay!!! I am very careful about not over using my peak minutes. You can see that I have not ever used them up every month because I like my bill to be only$ 32.00. That is my budget for cell phone. So once again I try to get a live person on the phone to have them tell me who I supposedly called to get a bill like that. I was again placed on hold for very long time. I hung up and tried 2 minutes later to get a recording that told me " due to high call volume I would need to call back.
This is very poor customer service. I wrote them a letter telling them I would not pay any more of the bill than what I pay every month because my records show no calls over my 4 allotted peak hours. Some$ 89.00 worth of peak hours they said I made. I need to speak to a rep!!!!!
My cell phone number is (813) 215-0005 my e mail is Email User Could some one offer any help or do I need to go to Better Business. I will not let this slide. Why do I have to pay for their mistakes? Is it my fault that they do not have adequate help.
Is there any way you can get them this e mail? Thank you!
Sincerely Frustrated, Kristine Suitor
