Halfprice Computers in Richardson Texas on Arapaho rd - didn't honor warranty

Complaints.com received the following consumer e-message on December 7, 2001:

Halfprice Computers in Richardson Texas on Arapaho rd. ripped me off.They told me there was a warranty on a used video card and pursaded me not to bring my pc up there so i could make sure i got one that worked.They said "no need to bring ur pc we have a 10 day warranty."

So after driving in traffic for 30 minutes i get there and they tell me they dont have warrantys and played dumb.So , im pissed now but decide to buy the part and when i get it home guess what? It doesnt work.And then those A-holes wont even let me return it.

THey scarificed business for a $10 dollar video card.Plus they always say that one "turned-off" customer turns into 10 turned off customers after they tell their friends.I hope it was worth it.

What he has failed to tell you is that we sell alot of product as-is. This product has not been tested and is no warranty. He could have spent an extra $1 or $2 and gotten one that we warranty.

Just because he choose to get the cheapest one possible is not our fault!! We have offered to replace it or give him his money back.
