I recently tried to close a credit card. It is a Visa Gold "Getsmart" Card issued by Providian National Bank. I was repeatedly transferred, transferred again to a phone that just wrung. All done within business hours. I spent over 40 minutes on the phone getting the run around.
I thought how hard is it to close this account. I then tried to do it online. They e-mailed me saying I would have to call that same number"1-888-273-2272 " you can't close this account online.
I opened it online! I have sent over an hour trying to simply close this credit card account. As for satisfaction they have failed miserably!
