I purchased a Dell Dimension 8100 in early July, 2001. I filled and sent in the mail rebate form with all the accompanying documentation within 2 days of receiving the order. After 12 weeks and no rebate, I called the rebate redemption tel number.

They told me they hadn't received the rebate forms. I asked them what documentation they needed for a resubmission. They told me to resend the rebate form with a copy of the invoice. I did that, then got a phone call telling me that they needed the packing slip. I did that too.

It's now Dec 29th and still no rebate check.

Nobody at Dell is willing to do anything about this. They claim that the rebates are being handled by a third party. What they seem to forget is that they, Dell, are the ones that offered the rebate, not a third party. Therefore, Dell cannot absolve themselves of the responsibility of addressing this issue.
