Citi Financial Mortgage - The Associates Finance - Consolidated Mortgage

We obtained a loan through Consolidated in 1998. We paid the loan off in 1999. We have been attempting since 1999 to obtain a release of lien. Two months ago, we finally got a lien free title on our mobile home. Two days later, we found that Citi still had a lien on our property.

We have been trying since then to get the second lien (property) released. We have called numerous times, and after a waiting period of anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes before we get and answer, (same as when we were working on the title release) no one knows where the account information is or how to get it. We have filled out several request for release, and still have not been able to get this cleared up.

Lawyers don't want to bother with this because they can't make any money on it. Officials don't care, and we have no one to turn to for help. I hope no one else ever has to deal with this problem. It is unfair and senseless. We handled our end of the bargain in record time, $15,000.00 paid back in less than a year, and we can't contact anyone in this company who will get this taken care of.

These companies are a disease in this country, and their practices should be outlawed. (The owners probably own a political lobby as big as Texas).
