Citifinancial Mortgage had liens on our mobile home and our land. It took two years to have the lien released on the home, then we found that they also had not released the lien on our property.

This loan was paid out in 1999, and we have been trying since that date to be free of this lien. The loan was originally with Consolidated, then bought by The Associates. The Associates was bought by Citi Financial. We finally were given the phone number for Citi, but for two months have not been able to get a release.

I don't understand why the law that was passed to prevent this type of problem, does not cover all situations. We have had no satisfaction even after hours spent on the phone. I have sent numerous e-mails, but to no avail. I think they should specifically be listed as one of your catagories.
