RE: Quantex laptop - maker out of business, Portables Direct, Scrubs Lane, London sold laptop
I bought a laptop on March 12th of this year. It has always been problematic. I work as an IT training contractor and as I needed the laptop for work I did not return for repair until October. The problem that I wanted fixing was the that both mouse ports were'nt working.
I went to collect the laptop and was shown that the mouse port was working. Unfortunately it only worked a couple of times. However that was only half of the problem as the modem no longer worked and I haven't been able to access my emails.
We rang up the company that supplied the laptop Portables Direct, Scrubs Lane, London NW10 and said that if they should either give us a new laptop or refund the money to us if they could not repair the laptop so that it worked consistently.
They said that the responisbility of replacing the laptop lay with the manufacturers Quantex. the only problem is that they went out of buisness before we bought the laptop. I did not know this when I bought the laptop. Are you a UK company? If so can you give me some advice
