RE: AT&T - Restoring interrupted service Dear sirs:
I am writing to ask why does it take AT&T 24 to 72 hours to restore service to a phone that has restricted service? Payment was made at a payment center on 12/13/01 and the z number on the receipt was called in.
When I was a bell Atlantic customer if your service was restricted and you made a payment at a payment center, as soon as the z number was called in my service was restored even before I made it home.
Why is AT&T such a tough company to deal with? My father worked for this company for 40 years and the only reason I stay with this company is because of him.
Now he is retired and soon I will be changing companies because of the treatment I am receiving. I have three small children and two of them have disabilities problems. I need to have a phone at all times.
Another complaint is that this company never notifies you when they are going to interrupt your service. They stated that they mailed me a letter dated November 19th telling me this but I never (to this day) received this letter. It only takes them 5 seconds to interrupt your service. It should take them the same amount of time to restore my service.
