RE: Geoffry Beense dress shirts - bubbling on the collar
I read with interest the complaint by the fellow that was sending his Geoffrey Beene dress shirts to the cleaners who advised him that the glue used in making the shirts caused the black marks. I was wondering if they have changed something in the process of making their dress shirts. The past two shirts I have purchased seem to be bubbling on the collar.
It almost appears as if the two sides of the collar are separating. Are the inside and outside of the collar adhered together with something that may be separating after washing? This has happened with the last two shirts I have bought.
I have since bought another, and if the collar again does this I may have no alternative but to try another make of dress shirt. I have been faithfully purchasing Geoffry Beene dress shirts for several years and will continue to do so as long as this collar problem proves to be an isolated incident. I would be interested to know if you have experienced any similar complaints. I don't want to sound like a complainer, I am just curious about this. Thank you for your time.
