Last month First Premier Bank sent me a letter guaranteeing me a credit card.
They asked for a $25 fee to cover processing which would be refunded if denied.
Well, guess what? It wasn't denied, but they want to secure it.
So they cashed my check and sent me a counteroffer.
I had called customer service about the status before receiving the letter and told them to cancel my application and refund my money.
I got the letter today and called again to verify-now I find out they charged me $6 for an express fee! What EXPRESS fee? I signed up for the regular offer using the regular mail.
Not only do I not think they should not have cashed my check before I agreed to a secure card, but I have to pay them $6 to cancel.
I already have another UNsecured credit card, but First Premier's rate was attractive and I wanted a mastercard.
You can bet they could not GIVE me a card now.
I'd rather pay a higher interest and at least have a company be straight with me!
