RE: Palm Harbor Homes, Buda

To whom it may concern,

This is my SECOND LETTER to advise that my not so newly acquired home

purchased from Palm Harbor Homes in Buda in November of 2000 is still not

complete. The waste water system has not yet been installed, due to weather

conditions.

Although when the weather did permit the situation was not

addressed. I have spoken to the Robert McDonald of Circle N Ranch where my

home was set. Robert advises as usual that there is nothing that he can do

to get the septic system in place. The septic system should have been

placed 30 days after the home was set by Aerobic Wastewater Systems, INC. I

have made several calls to the president of the company Johnny Martin.

Johnny was to come to the my property Monday January 22 (the weather was

great).

This was not done. I did not hear from Johnny until Thursday

January 25th (another rainy day) when the hole for the septic tank was dug.

Supposedly the ground was still very wet, so the septic tank now sits in my

neighbors back yard. I have since been able to place my families personal

items in the home, but the home lacks certain requirements for future

living. The interior walls have not been repaired been repaired. There are

several wall and window in dire need of repair.

Apparently since the home

that I purchased is a "Fleetwood" parts are not very accessible. To the

consumer this is no concern of mine. These are issues that should be

addressed prior to a customer purchase. Since the purchase of the home the

only thing that has been done is the exterior vinyl siding has been placed

on the home. These condition DO NOT MAKE MY HOME HABITABLE. I have spoken

to several Conseco associates such as Sandra Oliveras, Liz, Marianna, and

Brad Hardwick to no avail. I have worked with several Palm Harbor employees

to have the repairs done still to no avail.

After speaking to these

individuals I don't feel that there is a concern for my family or myself.

The only concern appears to be the financial responsibility that is a far

thought in my mind. It would appear to me that such a large company would

want to protect such an investment and insure customer satisfaction. I am

fully aware of the financial responsibility but like several other consumers

my family WILL come first as it should. I simply would like to advise any

concerned party of this bitter situation.

This entire instance has is such

a sour experience that a consumer such as my self will not be venturing to

purchase a manufactured home again EVER. Again as a consumer this is not

acceptable. I have invested some $5,123.84 for a home that still do date is

not HABITABLE. I would like to close by asking. When will we as consumers

ever reap the benefit of our hard work and dedication if there are business

and service providers that insist on non compliance and raping consumers of

our well deserved rights?

Thanks

Patrick Nobles
