_____________________ I have been paying my payment to Chase Auto Finance for nearly a year through a recurring monthly payment I set up through my bank's online bill pay service. For the last two months, my bank has sent the correct payment, ten days ahead of schedule as always, but Chase Auto Finance has posted the payment incorrectly and then mailed a late notice to me.

Both payments have already cleared my bank account and the amounts were correct. I have spoken to customer service reps at Chase Auto Finance on three separate occasions, after navigating through a frustrating automated phone system and waiting on hold, and these people do not understand the meaning of customer service.

(1) They cannot research the actual payment they received from my bank--the burden of proof that my payment was correct is my burden. For the second month in a row now.

(2) The second time I called, the rep told me my account was clear. It was not.

(3) I asked to speak to a supervisor today, and was told "the supervisor will only tell you what I just told you."

(4) I then asked to speak to the supervisor's supervisor, and I was told "that's not going to happen."

(5) I was told that after they receive "proof" from my bank that my payment was in the correct amount, it will take FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAYS FOR THEM TO CORRECT MY ACCOUNT.

(6) The customer service rep argued with me about the results of my second call, telling me that "if I had called, they would have a record of it."

(7) The incorrect posting amount is obvious--Chase posted my 291.47 payment as 29.47.

(8) I submitted online requests for payoffs on both my Chase mortgage and my Chase auto loan--these will be moved to different banks immediately. Darin Soll

Having a similar problem with Chase.

Have to use my lunch break to prove money came out of my account 2 weeks ago.

They seem to be pretty much useless - you are not alone.

I find it hilarious that someone posted a rebuttal to the original complaint, nearly 7 years later. Especially when the rebuttal was a close to ignorant attack on the guy who is just venting. Maybe the business reply was from a Chase representative and they just got around to your issue. That would be in keeping of their less than stellar track record. I don't doubt that Chase inadvertently posted the payment incorrectly, but I will say from experience that the payment tape that gets submitted through the ACH often is messed up due to communication problems between the 3 entities (your bank, the ACH, and Chase). Hopefully, the car you are referring to has been paid off for years.

you sound like someone who always crys for a supervisor if you paid it prove it show them proof it came out of your bank wouldnt that be alot easier than just requesting a supervisor copy print send and its done but you rather keep complaining and asking for supervisor probably you did not pay and are a upset customer of chase looking for customer service when you have not paid your bill what do you think everything has to be done as soon as you say where do you work am sure you guys dont get everything done at a snap of a finger get a life looser
