RE: Crysler Jeep Laredo (99)
To whom this may concern:
This is in reference to my Jeep. I purcahased a Crysler Jeep Laredo (99), in 1999. Maybe it is fair for them to offer an extended warranty to their consumers but, since I've had my jeep I gotten normal light maintenance, ie oil change, tune up.
About six months after purchasing my jeep a maintenance worker in Atlanta Ga related that many jeeps were having problems with the electric windows, I haven't had that problem. More recently, within the last year I've been in Augusta Georgia and have been getting my jeep serviced at Milton Ruben Jeep here in Augusta Georgia.
I've been noticing over the last 2 months that my jeep has a hesitance to start but, it will start. Recently I went to have my oil changed and I related to a service provider, about the hesitance that was occurring. He then related that many jeeps were having this problem and that the warranty for this was 36000.00 miles. My vehicle have 38800.00 miles.
I feel that if this is a problem that is presistant with other jeeps, Crysler should stand behind their name. I do not think that a consumer should pay extra for an extended warranty for something that is occuring with many persistant problems. I feel that my jeep is in good condition and I try to keep my maintenance up to date. This morning when I went to this dealership.
I spoke with another service provider and he related that he would have to get with his manager. I waited for the manager and he related that it would be $68.00 just to look at this. I feel that the $68.00 wasn't the issue but he also related that if they find something Crysler may help or may not.
My husband and I have had serval new cryslers vehicles over the years and have had no problems. But, I do feel that if..... this is persistant with other vehicles (jeeps in the case) this should be handled on the recall status.
