Sony 43' projection television Sony From: Jim Kershaw Email User Date: Friday, March 09, 2001 01:41 PM Subject: Post Your Sony TV Set Complaints Here From: Jim Kershaw Email User Sent To: www.ita.sel.sony.com/support/pc/email.html 3/9/01 1:41:17 PM Dear Business: a consumer posted the following e-message at Complaints.com. About 6 weeks later I noticed a faint, tan colored bar across the bottom of the screen. after looking into this problem I was informed that this was the cnbc ticker and logo permanantly imprinted on my screen.
When I spoke to sony, they informed me that this was not covered, and called it misuse. If watching the same channel on a daily basis is misuse, then the customer should be notified before they make the purchase. Sony dismissed me with no remorse at all, and was rude to boot.
Your disclaimer in the owners manual is vague at best, which by the way is the only way to know about this defect, which is after the T.V. is delivered and set-up. Sony wouldn't return my calls on this issue. I can't believe your company would turn their back on a customer this badly. Merry Christmas, Ignored customer.
