Motorcycles - 2000 Honda CR250R replacement part cost is high

Complaints.com received the following message on June 20, 2000:

From: Earl Perry [Email User] I have a '2000 Honda CR250R which is built to race and is inherently wrecked. I love the performance of the bike. I have no complaints about the way it works. My complaint is about how much it cost to get replacement parts for it. The mark up at the dealership is phenomenal. I understand that people have to pay for technology but I think things have gotten way out of hand for factory parts. I found after market parts for approximately 1/3 the price of "factory Honda " parts. I wish Honda, and more than likely all motorcycle and auto manufacturers, would remember that we are already paying substantially for these things and it's pretty low of them to ask for these kind of prices.
