I have a 1999 Chrysler Concorde, and for the past week or two, I have been experiencing problems with the car not wanting to go when shifted into drive. There is a great concern because when the car finally catches the gear, it takes off pinning my head to the seat. The dealership told me that they couldn't find anything wrong and that it was probably the torque converter not pumping fluid until the gear goes past the neutral position. This triggers a three second delay which means that when I back out of my drive, and change the gear to drive, I have to count for three seconds before the car will drive off. I think that this is ridiculous because I haven't noticed it before now. I have had the car for 15 months (15900 miles). I don't actually know what to do about the situation. I guess that the dealership is waiting for an accident to happen before they do something.
