My sister & brother-in-law borrowed my 1993 Ford Aerostar to go on vacation. They were going to Myrtle Beach and since they have a small car, a six year old and my sister is 7.5 months pregnant she would be more comfortable in the minivan. When they got to S.C. the air conditioning was blowing warm. They took it to a Goodyear place on 10th ave and were told that they put the car on the computer and it showed that the compressor was shot and it would cost about $800 to repair. My sister could not afford to do this so they drove home in 90 degree heat, 7.5 months pregnant home. I took the van to my mechanic and he replaced some "O" rings and recharged the system for a cost of around $100. This is absolutely absurd that this thief is allowed to run a business and try to take advantage of people in need.
