In February, I booked 2 flights with Travelocity in worth of over $1200 and became in March the unpleasant news that my flying times were changed (without offering me a chance to cancel) so that my stopover in NY would be 13 hours long and in addition the "connecting flights" were in 2 different airports. I admit that this part was an error on the part of the airline, but I'm wondering why, after countless calls, faxes and emails, why I still don't even have a projected date for when I can expect my money back. I sent the tickets registered mail on March 20th back to the agency, but according to my file, the first call to the airline to ask for my refund was made on June 2nd. I think that this lack of service, regardless of any backlog, should not happen at 'the world's fastest growing travel agency'. A normal travel agency would have gotten me my money back within 60 days, and I'm waiting since 4 months! I also find it ridiculous that I always hear the story about how 'powerless' they are over the matter. I would assume that a travel agency has a great deal of power over airlines, i.e. threatening that they will not book tickets with the airline etc. I just can't believe that when I book with an online travel agency that this automatically means that I have to go without service of a functioning travel agency.
