RE: Carpeteria
Please buyer beware!! Do not do business with Carpeteria.
They were hired in July to install new carpet (which was never tucked--to date), put new lino (which the wrong pattern was ordered) then they left me without a toilet for at least a wek before they finished the job.
Oh, and my covase in not installed right. Did I mention that they scratched my walls up terribly in the bathroom also? And to install new wood fllors (which they did not order enough product for). They did not put the correct screws back into my new door hinges either.
They broke a piece of my large furniture while moving it--they will not file an insurance claim; nor will they fix it. The new floor boards were never installed that were to be done after the new carpet.
They now say that they estimated the job incorrectly and want me to pay the difference....I have taken at least a week off to wait for them to come and do repairs and complete the job to begin with. I have had a week with no shows--despite the company telling me that someone is on their way.
That means that my whole home has been packed up and unpacked several many times because they are unreliable.
I have tried to contact everyone and even spoke to the President about this in July. Until I had the BBB and the California State Board of Contractors involved I never heard from them until December.
Now they are trying to bypass the State's office and I was notified that they have a lien against my property and are will start foreclosure within 10 days if I do not pay--despite their abandonment of the job.
Please buyer beware.
Carpeteria is in California in different counties.
