Stores, Damark, MN unable to contact company to cancel membership

I sent the following email to Damark, Inc. tonight after repeatedly trying to reach them by phone. I also filed a complaint with the MN Better Business Bureau.
I have repeatedly called 1-888-446-5339 in order to cancel my membership so that my card is not charged on 1/5/2001.
I am put on hold, then told by a recording to call back later due to your company experiencing an unusually high number of calls, then disconnected.
This happens no matter what time I call. I do not do business with any company that tries to sneak a credit card charge over on me.
I am sending a copy of this to every online business rating website I can find in order to voice my complaint and document the date of this email..
DO NOT charge my card on 1/5/2001 or on any other date.
