Sky Auction fails to complete transaction

On Nov.16,2000 I was high bidder on an Auction with travel to be completed by Dec.14, 2000.

Confirmation was received on Nov.21, 2000 from Sky Auction, stating that the travel dates were confirmed and no refunds would be given.

Sky Auction stated that I would receive a Federal Express package with needed information. It did not arrive by the travel date of Nov.26, 2000.

And has not arrived to this date, although I was billed for it. Sky auction did not respond to e-mails sent and were unavailable from Nov. 23- Nov. 27.

Continental Airlines confirmed the flight on Nov. 24, 2000 and sent e-tickets. My credit card company was called and I was billed for this transaction on Nov. 22, 2000 I was unable to contact the resort.

We assumed that since we had been billed and we had airline tickets that all would be well

We boarded our flight OOPS Upon arrival at the resort, no reservations had been made Sky Auction did not make resort reservations and upon contacting, at a cost of over $100.00 for phone calls made from Mexico, have put all responsibility on me.

Sky Auction has stated that the transaction was not complete even though I received confirmation from them, from the airport and that the credit card had been billed.

Sky Auction wants no personal contact and accepts no responsibility for mistakes. No apologies were offered and none are expected.

On Dec. 12,2000, I sent a detailed list of complaints and expenses incurred because of their poor business practices.

As of Jan. 2, 2001, Sky Auction has failed to reply. A follow up has been sent and I would be suprised if a reply is received.

The bottom line is if Sky Auction encounters problems, it is their belief that the fault lies with the consumer. Their terms and conditions do not apply to them.

Sky Auction does not have a customer service department, only a customer billing department.
