i purchased a dell inspiron 3800 laptop in december, and in early january, the screen had to be replaced due to a condition i can only call "snow" on one side of the screen...

the new screen has a pixel out and wehn i called dell to inquire about the problem, after who knows how long on hold, the technician told me that a few pixels out is the industry standard, and that Dell would do nothing more for me...

for a manufacturer that is consistently rated #1 by numerous pc magazines, i feel this is really lousy service!!!!! i'm in college, so i can't exactly afford to replace things myself...

i just bought this laptop, and it already has something wrong with it and i am just supposed to live with it!!!!! i don't think so!!!!!

i also forgot to mention that the technician on the phone also said that some systems even ship with a few pixels out, so it's not really a big deal...

I THINK IT'S A BIG DEAL!!!
