Yes, I do have a complaint about Rockaway Bedding.
Following is a letter I wrote to them after my experience of trying to purchase a mattress there.
Of Course, I received no response from anyone there. Not even a perfunctory apology: After spending $1000.00 at your store, I was told I had to wait 5 days for delivery of my mattress after your delivery people called to cancel the original delivery. Never mind that my husband lost a day of work staying home to wait for your delivery. Since I had already disassembled my old bed, per your instructions, that left me with no bed to sleep on for the next 5 days. This was unacceptable to be. When I called your customer service to try to arrange an earlier delivery your representative's attitude was "so what would you like me to do about it?" in a very sarcastic tone of voice. When I asked for a supervisor, she refused to connect me to one. I did not spend $1000 for this kind of service, not when there are other stores out there waiting for my money. In short, when a store has a sale and offering free delivery they should make sure that they have enough trucks and delivery personnel on the road to handle the deliveries. Customers should not be expected to wait a total of 9 days for a delivery, especially when they are instructed to disassemble the old bed. I was very dissatisfied with your company and I will never set foot in your store or recommend you to anyone again. In fact I will do my best to let the public know what they are in for when dealing with Rockaway Bedding.
