Clothing Stores, Women's - Bridal Galleria, San Francisco not allowed to try on dresses - terrible treatment
Clothing Stores, Women's Subject: Bridal Galleria in San Francisco From: Jennifer Ridley Email User Sent To: Email User 2/2/01 3:38:41 PM _____________________ I want to warn everyone of the ridiculous experience we had at the Bridal Galleria. In October 2000 our wedding party went to the Bridal Galleria to try on wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses.
We picked out a bridesmaid's dress and 2 of the 3 bridesmaids got measured for the dress. The store took this information down in their computer.
On January 20, 2001 we went back with the last bridesmaid to look at the bridesmaids dresses, and had she liked it, we would have put our money down and ordered all of the dresses. Here is the killer, we walked in and were actually told that THEY DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO TRY ON ACCESSORIES (VEILS, SHOES, EVEN BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES) unless we are ordering the bridal gown from them!
We politely reminded them that we have already been in before and had spent over 3 hours the last time trying on dresses. That we are essentially ready to put $$$ into their hands. We were told no, policy is policy. They would not let us try on the bridesmaids dresses. We have tried to address our complaints to the store directly with no response. We are told the manager is Grace Young and that the owner does not even matter because he's never around. Well, with an attitude like that I certainly do not know how they will be staying in business. Let this post be a warning to all who are shopping for bridal boutiques: the Bridal Galleria at the Embarcadero Center in San Francisco California is not worth your time. We have a party of 4 in our wedding group (ranging from San Franciso area to Colorado) and we traveled far to their shop.
To be treated with suck lack of respect and service is inexcusable. To think that they essentially threw money out the door that day is almost laughable (hmmm...I wonder if the owner would be laughing if he knew).
