Telephone service - calling cards - AT&T overcharged on calling card calls
We'll take care of it sir...Not! AT&T From: J Melendez Email User Date: Friday, February 02, 2001 01:38 AM I signed up with AT&T expecting a low 7 cent/min domestic and 16 cent/min international rate and of course after signing up I got: Neither! I first received a $300 bill because they billed me with the standard (rip-off) $2.13/min rate instead of a savings plan.
After calling and being assured of a correction, the next bill showed a $270 credit but still no calling plan implemented and a new $600 bill for the next month of calls. I called again to advise of this error and the next month the same thing over again... AT&T's resolution: create a 2nd account and close the original to establish my calling plan as requested: Did this work? No! --> Now I have 2 accounts with no calling plans and about $600 balance on each bill! I spoke to numerous supervisors who assured me this would be fixed and credited.
Of course time is passing and now the credit management dept now calls 6-8 times a day to collect the balance. Even as I'm speaking to a supervisor the credit dept calls through my call waiting, apparently they can't get in touch with each other! When I call now some reps say that there are adjustments and credits in progress and other reps don't even know what i'm talking about! I asked for a revised bill once credits are applied but the reps say they don't have to send me one, I have to take their word that credits have been issued.
How can you trust them now? Why won't they send me a new, revised bill stating what I actually owe if they say credits have been issued? From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Saturday, 03-Feb-01 01:38:00 CST Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
