Mattresses - Simmons poor quality mattress is not supported under 'life-time' warranty by Simmons

Complaints.com received the following e-message on December 24, 2000:

My complaint is against Simmons Mattress Company.

In 1998 I bought a St. Michelle Pt Style M29755-7-2619 Mattress from Sleep Train Bedding in Sacramento, Ca.

They delivered and set up the mattress. began sagging and Sleep Train was advised.

They sent a inspector to my home, the person was very rude, looked at it and walked out the door.

Received a warranty Inspection report #010313 stating the reason it was sagging was there was only three slats supporting the mattress.

Was stated I needed 5 slats, looking at a booklet that was sent to me, it states 4. Now have 8 slats and it still sags.

Sent a consumer complaint to Simmons, with no response.

Mattress sags approximate. 2 1/2 to 3 ins. on either side, mattress is turned every 30-40 days.

Inspectors report stated "recommended action NONE"

Strongly feel Simmons is not complying with its so called "life time warranty"
