RE: Geoffrey Beene ID policies
Something has been gnawing at me.
Last Saturday, 9 December, 2000, I went to the Geoffrey Beene Outlet Store in Vacaville, CA, with a couple of friends.
They are white, I am of Latino descent.
I made my purchases; just under $50.00, and handed the cashier my VISA card.
She immediately asked to see my drivers license.
When my white friends came up to the register with their purchases, both OVER $100.00, they were not asked for identification for their purchases.
I stayed in the store for 30 more minutes, and saw that NOT ONE SINGLE WHITE PERSON was ever asked for their ID when they paid with their credit cards.
For the record, my annual income is 83K- Is it a policy of Geoffrey Beene to discriminate against minorities? If so, you should post a sign at the door stating so.
I know that I will never buy a Geoffrey Beene product ever again.
