I own a 97 pontiac transport mini van.
Three times the window on the passenger side would not work, go up or down. Twice I took it to the service dealer and they said it was the swith and replaced it.
I bought the extended waranty with this and switches are covered. The problem, I have a 100.00 dollar deductible, the repair only cost 69.00 dollars.
Each time I paid the 69.00 for the repair. The third time this happened I am being told it is the window motor and to replace this the part alone cost 550.00 dollars.
I, expecting my waranty would cover this, was not concerned.
Guess what the motor is not covered under the waranty.
What is wrong with this picture.
Number one A vehicle that cost as much as a Pontiac Transport, I feel should not have this problem to begin with. I feel this is a factory defect.
Why does it have to be so difficult to get answers. When we went out to buy a van we specifically went to a better than average make to avoid these problems.
I guess next time we go with the best price no matter what make it is. I guess it doesn't make any difference anymore.
No customer satisfaction anymore.
I am very dissapointed with Pontiac and GM.
We will see which make we buy next....
