Internet Service Providers - AOL in Canada trouble with 56 K dialup connections

I will say first off that I do not work for AOL and in fact live in Canada.

I do however work for an ISP and have delt with the issue of 56K connections for some time.

56K has been a pain in the neck for support workers since the day it came out.

People phoning up saying they were only getting 40K, 42K demanding 56K.

Bluntly put, 56K isnt possible over conventional copper lines which to the most part is what we have up here. Even on fibre a connection of 53K would be simply amazing.
