Don't Ever eat at Dixie Crossroads in Mt Dora, FL
My wife and I ate at Dixie Crossroads last night in Mt Dora, FL. The ride there was about 30 miles. We had heard that this restaurant was famous for their seafod and corn fritters. To our dismay after our very long drive, we found that Dixie Crossroads is famous for smelling like a wet old diaper from a nursing home. Dixie Crossroads in MT Dora is surrounded by near by nursing homes. This establishment I assume only caters to those that come out of these homes and we must of been outlanders. The food and smell was horrible! I ordered lobster and it came with "Free Prime Rib."
The lobster was steamed but not seasoned. The free prime rib looked like a slice of meat, unbelievably disgusting. The caesar salad that came with the dish could not even compare to Denny's. It was awful! The Corn Fritters were cold, wet gross. The whole place smelled like urine and the food had a scent of it.
Never again will I eat at such a disgusting gross place fit for a nursing home. Even if my parents someday partake in one of these nursing homes in MT Dora, I will never take them to this restaurant.
