August 25, 2003 HOUSEHOLD RETAIL SERVICES Can they be stopped? I made a purchase in August of 1993 from Comp USA. After a car accident and bankruptcy I am struggling to restart my life. However, I am still receiving calls from Household collection agencies after 10 years. Although it is in bankruptcy, they keep selling it to new collection agencies. I'm tired of faxing and sending certified letters to their next collection agency of the month. Every few months I have to deal with it all over again. I have repeatedly referred them to the Chapter 13 Trustee office. It stops for a while then is resold, just like it is was a brand new debt. I know harassment of this type while you are in bankruptcy is illegal, but it doesn't seem to stop them. Is there anything anyone can do or suggest so that I can put this nightmare behind me. Even when my bankruptcy is completed in 2 years I know they'll still be there....waiting like a deep dark vulture demon! I suppose I should just shrug it off and give them another letter once again, but at some point....when is enough enough. Why can't consumers be protected from these companies? Where is our government? HOUSEHOLD RETAIL SERVICES is the most unprofessional, incompetent company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. -KLM From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 27-Aug-03 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
