RE: QuickBooks Pro 2003 - upgrade to this version software is a very poor experience - forced to upgrade due to QuickBooks discontinuing tax table support for v6.0

www.Complaints.com: I have used QuickBooks through many versions, unfortunately this upgrade has been a poor experience. Due to QuickBooks discontinuing tax table support for the 6.0 version, I was required to upgrade. Seven issues I can readily recall: #1 My accountant has 2002 and I purchased 2003, (WHICH ARE NOT COMPATIBLE) and makes me continue to make manual General Journal Entries. If the accountant gets 2003 then all her other customers have to update each year she does. #2 The desktop is totally different and overcrowded. My workspace is 3/4th the size and extremely hard to read on a 17" monitor. For a very small business (2-5 employees), is this package worth it? The basic functions I require are the ability to invoice, receive payments, pay bills, process deposits, reconcile, payroll, and complete payroll and sales tax forms easily. #3 Payroll changed my payroll dates the first time I used 2003.

#4 The first quarter 941 form was incorrect.

#5 The quick forms I used to produce are no longer quick forms. I need to pull a report for small and large tools with the description field for our business insurance policy???? #6 I was suppose to receive one tax table FREE. Instead, when I got down to the download it was mandatory to insert the real credit card number to go any further. #7 Between the software cost, the on-line tax table subscription, my time to upgrade and learn a new system... plus a new PC system to support this, wow. I would like QuickBooks Pro (Intuit, Email User) to provide basic answers to things that are not in the manual or on the web-site. Is this unreasonable, since it cost over $600 in software and tax tables, and another $800 on a new e-machine? The small business can not afford this. L Bates
