RE: Select Comfort Bed - 15 months old - area of heavy plastic has ripped - could cause support beam to fall
I have a Select Comfort bed that is 15 months old. I paid over $1600 for the bed as well as $70.00 for assembly. The Support beams rest on an area that is not designed to handle the weight of the bed. I was told that each side of a queen size bed will support a 500 lb. person.
This is not true since, I weigh about 170 lbs. The area made of heavy plastic "ripped", leaving no support for the beams to rest on. Although , the bed is still under warranty and was replaced by a "New Design", current owners should be aware of this condition which could cause the support beams to fall and possible injury to current owner.
I feel the Beds should be recalled and have written a letter requesting a recall to the Select Comfort Company.
Thank You, Sharon Murdock
