AOL - billed for $ 28.90 in one month, not $ 23.95 as expected

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on August 24, 2003:

i have been using aol for 3 months now, first 2 were a trail period, i was billed for the first time on aug. 12 monies taken from my checking account. my first complaint is when i signed up for the trail period aol was listed as being $23.95 why was my account deducted for 28.90???

that is NOT what i signed up for and i will be switching my online service if this is not satisfactorily worked out...ALSO, why isn't there a number for me to call so i can speak with someone in person?? unhappy with aol
