RE: Saturday Night Live - SNL - NBC Television - offended by skit involving muslims Hello, I am a male Musilm Canadian citizen who lives in London Ontario, Canada. Today, on August 8/03 i was watching SNL(saturday nite live). I noticed a skit about muslims, depicting them as animals, and rock throwing maniacs, that i can honestly say offended me. You know, I am a peaceful person, and these stereotypes about all Muslims being war mongers is very irritating. Many of us along with many christian friends and Jewish friends in the London area have had it with these stereotypes.

I am thinking of proposing a march in the streets of london to boycott watching any nbc related show. It may be hard but this is a plan. Unless there is a sincere apology i wil do this. You may say this is no big deal, so what. Maybe ur rite, but i hope that you may understand that in this day in age no group of people should suffer from such predjudice. I do understand that your aim is to make a joke; however, the SNL people should be more responsible when it comes to touchy issues like this one. Untill today i loved watching SNL, but now as a practicing Muslim i feal ive been attacked, and once again, I am very offended. May God almighty guide us all on the straight path, and may he bless this earth with peace and tranquility, along with understanding and respect for all of humanity. with great concern, Osman Yassine email: Email User
