RE: Rally's Fast Food, 410 W. McKinley Ave., Mishawaka, Indiana - unhappy experience

My complaint is about Rally's Fast Food at 410 W. McKinley Ave. Mishawaka, Indiana.

My husband and I were past starved on a very humid afternoon. It was 90-some degrees outside when we pulled into the drive thru at Rally's. There was only two cars ahead of us. There was a bank across the street that showed the time and temp and it read 1:55pm. when we got there.

It took us 13 minutes to get up to the window to get the food. I was agitated at this and I asked him what they were doing "slaughtering the cow?" and I laughed. Well, the guy had no sense of humor and gave me a crappy look. My husband got mad at me for saying anything b/c he was afraid they would mess with his food.

Well, we went to Wendy's for me and my husband felt it was better to check his sandwich to be on the safe side. It was a good thing he checked too b/c there was a pile of short, curly, black coarse hairs under the bun. My husband blew his stack and we turned the car around to go back to Rally's. We went in this time to the counter and I asked/demanded for a manager.

This woman comes up there and never did apologize. She asked if we wanted a new meal or our money back. We were like, "Our money b/c we'll never come to another Rally's again!" She told the employee to give us a refund and she walked away and didn't even care. The employee stood around and didn't give us the money right away so while we were waiting I kept looking around in the back at what the employees were doing.

There was this one woman that was making a sandwich and she took the cheese off and tossed it off to the side onto the metal lid of a condiment. Then she must've remembered that the sandwich was supposed to have cheese b/c she went to pick it back up and put it back on the sandwich. As she reached for it she looked up and I was staring right at her.

She stopped and walked around to the other side and picked up a block of cheese slices and got a new piece and put it on the sandwich and she looked back up at me to see if I was still watching and I sure was. I was staring to see what they were all doing. It was nasty.

We called the Rally's 800 number when we got back and the woman in the company over the phone said she wouldn't blame us if we never went back to Rally's again. They sent us a free meal letter but we won't be using it. Thanks for letting me vent.
