RE: register.com ad - "first step portal" service did not advise that ad would appear at bottom of webpage - on hold for about one hour trying to get help, so hung up I have edited my own webpage and used the firstsetop portal to forward the url to my own page. When I enter my own domain name I see an ad of register.com at the bottom show up automaticly. I certain not want any ad on my webpage.

I wrote an email to register.com and was told I need to upgrade my service to "Platinum FirstStepPortal", where I have to pay another $50 for a year. When I registered my domain name and used the "first step portal" service I was not told that an ad will appear at the bottom of my webpage. I called their 24/7 number but was on hold for about an hour so I gave up. --
