Beaver Construction Company, Salisbury, NC - not taking care of items that need to be finished

Hello to whom it may concern,

I bought a house in November 2000 from Beaver Construction Company, 1624 Stokes Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC, (704)633-9421. Since the day of closing I've had nothing but trouble from this company.

I tried repeatedly to contact them to finish the things they had neglected to do. Finally, in Sept. 2001, they sent me a letter asking for a list of "punch" items that needed finishing, and they asked for the list as soon a

possible, so they could "proceed as quickly as possible." I sent that list within 10 days.

It was Feb. 2002 before the first thing was done. I still have a number of "punch" items to have finished, and if these things are not done, it'll cost me $ out my own pocket when I sell the house. I'm quite certain they're enjoying the near $100,000 they got from me for the house.

These men are patronizing me when they're not ignoring me, and have a bad habit of going "bankrupt," and then opening another contracting company, but under a different name. They act like crooks, and I never would have bought this house from them if I'd known then what I know now.

Just as recently as this last week, I left a message on the owner's, Eddie Beaver's, voice mail asking him to call me and let me know when he'll be sending people out to finish the items on the list his company had

requested. It has been over seven days, and I have not heard from him-typical.

If you are looking for a home in or around Salisbury, NC, and the contractor has the name Beaver, Beavco or anything closely related to that, be wary.
