Complaints.com received the following consumer message on August 28, 2002:

They obtained a loan from my original servicer which had a credit balance due to an incorrect property tax payment when the loan originally closed. Although the original seller was obligated to pay for the difference (they'd paid unimproved rates on improved property) they procrastinated in forwarding the difference.

Additionally, they had a "computer error" which made them decide my PMI was FOUR TIMES what it should have been. So, I end up with mail from them saying my payment MORE THAN DOUBLED. I called over a dozen times (some of which I have documented) trying to explain the situation.

They tried charging me late fees, ruining my credit, and harassed me with incessant automated phone calls and mailings, even though I'd asked them to input notes into the system regarding the status (it took me roughly 60 days to resolve). I could never get a supervisor, never get a direct number, and I was hung up upon a handful of times. I wonder if there are enough of us to get a class action suit together. Needless to say, they are by far the most nightmarish company I have ever, ever had to deal with, and I can't see how any company will ever dethrone them. Mark
