RE: ShopNBC - late delivery - trouble using coupon - no reply to e-mails - terrible experience Customer service at ShopNBC...far closer to illusion than truth, based on my personal experience. I have made quite a few purchases at ShopNBC and was generally pleased with the transactions. In July, I received a coupon for $25.00 towards a purchase as a reward for my patience and loyalty during the recent "system conversion." I used the coupon to buy a cross pendant for my wife. Involving a reward for patience and a religious symbol at the same time was too much for fate.

The site states that you should allow 7 - 10 days for delivery...after two weeks the order had not been processed. I sent an e-mail to customer service and the next day the order was marked "complete." However, the order showed both USPS and FedEx shipping and the tracking number was "Z-Oracle." There was never any e-mail confirmation of either the order or of the shipment of the order; both are supposed to be automatic. It looked like the record of the transaction had been corrupted.

After a week, I began sending e-mails to COMPLAINTS.COM_FORM_MAIL_67641# Many, many e-mails later there has never been a single response to any of them. Using the customer service phone number (800-676-5523) is just as unsatisfying...you are informed that there is "a higher than normal call volume."

After going through two different tiers of the AVR you are informed that due to the volume of calls you can't be assisted at this time, BUT you are important to them...THEN the call is terminated. The only part of the order that did work was the part where they bill my credit card.

Today after over two weeks of persistent effort, I finally spoke to a human being in customer service. It was agreed that the order appeared to be tragically flawed and that my account would be credited. The item that I originally ordered is no longer available, the coupon has been squandered and they will have had the use of my money for over a month, if I am lucky, by the time my account is credited.
