RE: LaPlume shoes - style Maya - shoes need repair - store went out of business

I purchased a pair of shoes, LaPlume, style Maya, color denin suade nubuck from a shoe store that went out of business. The dress shoes were worn only twice and this is clear from the sole and overall condition of the shoe.

I contacted the distributor of this Italian made shoe. They told me they could not help me.

I asked if they can contact their distributor or ask the manufacturer for some of the suade threads for my shoemaker to repair these shoes. I said I could send the shoes to them to see. I said I could send these shoes to the manufacturer.

Expensive shoes, over $50, fell apart after 2 wearings. They said, "No, sorry, can't help you." I said that if a pair of shoes, only worn twice, are falling apart, wouldn't the manufacturer want to see them? They said, sorry, can't help you.

The distributor is Laurevan Shoe Corp. in White Plains, NY.

Any suggestions? Any idea how I can get in touch with the manufacturer, wouldn't they want to know?

Thanks

Arlene
