RE: NASCAR Speedpark, Myrtle Beach SC - paid $ 24.95 entry fee - unhappy visit
We traveled to the NASCAR Speedpark in Myrtle Beach, SC this past weekend. We were very disappointed. For our 24.95 entry fee we discovered that the park was not near what it was billed to be.
The timing system was completely down on each track, well over have the cars we either broke or the track decided not to used them. The "slideways" track, billed as the parks slick track, was nothing more than a concrete oval, the track surface was no different than any of the others.
The miniature golf course was a complete joke..carpet all tore up, they didn't even bother to provide score cards. The cars were so pitifully slow we left to go to several of the other "mom and pop" go cart track around the beach area.
If you are under 10 years old, you might be able to keep yourself occupied for an hour at this park. I informed the manager of the park of our dissatisfaction. His reply was "Sorry 'bout that".
If was apparent where the other park workers learned their apathy toward customer service after my short conversation with him. I can't believe NASCAR would put their name on an operation as shady as this one.
