RE: bell express vu - must have dedicated phone line to use pay-per-view ordering system
i have tried repeatedly to get satisfaction from bell on what i consider to be mis-information. the customer service rep says to effect. "we cannot be responsible for what the sales or marketing people or material says, this is our policy."
this response had me look more closely to be sure i was not mistaken. i am not. their tv commercial, verbal instruction and written instuctions state, "to order pay for view items simply plug in your phone line and order by pressing the select key."
when i do this i get a menu that says my "smart card has reached it's credit limit"?? my account is always current, never in arrears. when i call, i am told that i must leave a phone line connected at ALL TIMES, not just simply plug in your phone line to order.
i do not have a jacvk anywhere near the tv and would have run a line beneath the baseboard at the same time as i ran the satellite cable HAD I BEEN TOLD. they have available a cordless a sender and after all are bell.
i said i'd be happy to leave a line plugged in ...if they unstall a phone jack or supply a cordles at no charge. as this info is after the fact. no they will not!
i do believe the tv commercial is mis-leading as is the print material and should be changed to halt the spread of mis-information.
i am annoyed and have been deprived of enjoyment and have been hasselled. i may well seek legal gratification as well.
thank you, bob mauro
