RE: Capitol One Platinum Credit Card - attempt to get cash advance within 30 days of opening account resulted in fee and lowering of credit limit from 10,000 to 900

I opened a Capitol One Credit Platinum credit card this year with a stted limit of $10,000.

When I tried to withdraw cash while on business trip I was declined and then told by Capitol One that by trying to receive cash within 30 days of opening the account I was in violation of their agreement and my limit had been reduced to $900.

After an exhaustive discussion with three supervisors I closed my account and then paid my full balance.

When I received my last statement there was an overlimit charge for $29. When I called to explain that when I was using the card i wasn't informed my limit had been lowered and that I would like the $29 credited. They said that since I had paid already and closed the account that they couldn't help me.

I will never work with Capitol One again and I urge anyone who is running a business to not work with them either.
