RE: BeaverFloor.com - unhappy with decking material purchase - late delivery - want refund Please send to Beaver Floor at: Email User; Email User ;

Email User; Email User +++ COMPLAINT +++ On June 12, 2002, I purchased $2200 worth of decking material from BeaverFloor.com. I was very impressed the company's user-friendly website, monthly specials, and helpful sales staff. Unfortunately, my experience after the purchase has been extremely frustrating and I still do not have my order fulfilled. I cannot describe how frustrated I and dissatisfied I am with Beaver Floor.

I can honestly say that in the past 15 years, I have never had as negative a buying experience as I have had with Beaver Floor. I PAID for this product over 2 months ago, with the promise that I would have the selected species of decking within 3-4 weeks of order.

I even offered to switch to another species of decking, take different board sizes than what I ordered, and help with coordinating shipping. I have tried to be patient throughout this painful process, but my patience has run out. Here is a quick summary of what has happened: * June 12th - purchased $2200 worth of Macaranduba decking. I was told material would be at my home in 3-4 weeks.

* July 1 - learned from Customer Support that Macaranduba would be additional 6-8 weeks for deliver. As much as I wanted Macaranduba, I could not wait that long so I asked to change my order to in-stock IPE decking ( which was on sale for the same price of $2.99/SF.

* July 2-31 - Called every 2-3 days to check order status. Even though material was in stock, I was given different answers about why the order was delayed. First it was lack of resources in the warehouse to load the truck, next it was skid problems, next it was shipping company problems.

* August 2nd - Finally got a hold of the owner of the company - Neal Martin. I was promised shipping the following Monday. Neal's direct quote from email: "Done deal, in 5/4 decking".

* August 5-16 - Left repeated emails and voicemails for Customer Support and the owner, Neal Martin. Neither responded, even after writing a letter saying I was going to cancel my order and write complaints.com. At this point, I am pursuing the following actions: 1) Cancel payment through my credit card company, and issue a filed complaint with the card company

2) File a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Complaints.com

3) Purchase material from a local hardwood company who can deliver material within 1 week for similar price

(the only thing that has prevented me from taking this option sooner was my commitment to Beaver and your promises that it would be delivered soon) If you are considering a purchase from BeaverFloor.com, I STRONGLY recommend that you look elsewhere. This company has a great looking website, but, based on my experience, does not deliver on commitments and cannot be trusted. Michael Saliter
