I rented a climate controlled storage unit inside the building. When I went to remove my things I found them sitting in water. Mold was growing up my furnture and my boxes were falling apart.
The management claims that I stored the things at my own risk. They are not responsible. My homeowners insurance won't pay for the damages because I didn't have flood insurance.
This was not suppose to be a flood zone storage facility. The mold on my furnture indicates the unit was not climate controlled as stated in my contract.
I am now in the process of assesing the damages and getting a lawyer.
