RE: JC Penny's, Albany, OR - unpaid bill on credit report - rude service trying to correct problem
I have a complaint about JC Penny's. I tried to finance a home and was told that on my credit report was a Penny's bill for $49. Said that it was delinquent etc. I didn't order or receive anything from Penny's for that amount. Never received a bill saying that I owed them either.
When I called Penny's I get a very rude person that won't tell me anything other than it was turned over to an outside agency. I called the outside agency and they won't give any information other than the amount. Was treated very rudely.
I did pay the bill online to get the amount showing as paid but still have it on my credit report. I have tried everything to try and find out what the item was and why I didn't get any bills.
The credit agency said that they had address of the town that I lived in 3 years ago. I told them that I hadn't lived there for three years. The first year the mail was forwarded on so I would have gotten the bills.
I ordered from Penny's last year from my current address and paid that bill and showed zero balance. I am still getting Penny's catalogs so they know this current address.
I will NEVER NEVER do business with Penny's again.
