RE: BroadcastRealty.com - terrible experience trying to sell home in New Mexico - paid $ 597.84 up front I am living in Florida and trying to sell my home in New Mexico. We found a Mr. Victor Raymos with BroadcastRealty.com. We signed up on January 10th, 2002. He was wonderful, at least for the week he was our realtor. After not hearing from Mr. Raymos for a month, I called his pager.
He informed me that he was no longer with the company and that my property had been reassigned to another agent. He said that they would serve us well. As part of his separation agreement, Mr. Raymos was contractually prevented from calling us. He was surprised that noone from BroadcastRealty.com contacted us. I contacted BroadcastRealty.com regarding our property. Mr. Mark Carlisle indicated that the property was assigned to him. I asked if he planned to tell us - he said that they were really busy after Mr. Raymos left and indicated that he had left everything in a mess. I told him that our home did not appear on the web page and asked when it was going to be up. He indicated that they couldn't access the server, but it would be up "shortly." Our listing did not appear on the page until April. From that point on, we were unable to contact Mr. Carlisle. The only way we could reach him was to catch him at the office. Messages for return calls were not heeded. Thankfully, our contract terminated on July 10th. We returned to NM to find that the lock box had been removed. We have been unable to get our key back. I called the office. Sometime after August 1st, I requested a copy of my file and my key from someone who answered the phone (the copy of the file had been repeatedly requested prior).
I received the file on August 12th, still no key. I managed to reach Mr. Carlisle in the office today. He told me that the people who picked up the lock box lost the key. Note that business cards for 6 months were still sitting on our table when we arrived home. There is no indication that Mr. Carlisle ever visited our home or followed up on any leads except those I specifically hounded him about. Our concern is that we paid $597.84 up front and received no service, no communications. We have tried repeatedly to initiate a dialogue to obtain a refund, but our letters are now unanswered. Letters appear to be snatched up by Mr. Carlisle and we are unable to contact anyone else with the company that can assist us. He knows we are out of state and just avoids us. We had already filed a complaint with the NM Better Business Bureau and now are concerned that our key is "missing" when he knows that the house is filled with valuables and the house is unoccupied. Now we are forced to rekey our home. We are also filing a complaint with the Board of Realtors. Do you have any other suggestions for us? Thank you, Carol M.
