Sonic Drive In Restaurant - upset with television commercial

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on August 14, 2002:

RE: Sonic Drive In Restaurant - upset with television commercial

I saw a very disturbing commercial for Sonic Drive In Restaurant on our local TV Station, KWTV Oklahoma City this evening. It had children speaking into an electric fan. The fan didn't seem to have an adequate screen to keep hair and small hands out of the blades.

It looked like they could have easily put fingers through the fan cover and long hair could become pulled into the fan. Children seeing this commercial might be enticed to repeat what they see and this looks potentially dangerous to me.

I couldn't find an email address for the company but will write a letter. Your email address seemed a place to start.
